The most expensive list for July 2023 features rare releases from the Misfits, Nirvana, The Beatles, and David Bowie.
The July 2023 most expensive list includes rare punk records, genre-bending jazz releases, and hard-to-find pressings of classic albums.
Out of the many punk records on this month’s list, the Misfits’ Horror Business 7-inch claimed the highest spot by coming in at No. 2. A rare blue vinyl version of Youth Of Today’s Break Down The Walls and a blue green pressing of 7 Seconds’ The Crew also cracked the top 10. Other notable punk releases on the list include the red cover version of Minor Threat’s Filler and the Big Boys’ Frat Cars EP.
In true most expensive fashion, the list features some sought-after jazz titles that fuse with other genres. This month’s offerings include the jazz-rock sounds of Takeshi Inomata & Sound Limited’s Sounds Of Sound L.T.D., as well as the jazz-funk / soul-jazz stylings of Marlon Hunter’s It’s Summer.
Classics never go out of style and that also rings true when it comes to highly collectible vinyl. Two rare pressings of The Beatles’ Please Please Me, a white vinyl version of Nirvana’s Bleach, and a copy of David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World with the legendary dress cover and label misprint all sold for top dollar in July 2023.
